Here is a site that is able to help you stay updated with astronomical time. This is to show a video, where to look and what to see and is updated monthly:

It also produces tables of the higher settings of the planets, moon phases and a number of other celestial activity, including the eclipses.
If you can not afford it, so far from city lights will buy a cheap ($ 200 or less) of the telescope. That is the problem. Happy viewing!
